Jame wasn’t supposed to win the Rio CS:GO Major.
His team, Outsiders, used to be one of the best teams in the world - now they were boring, robotic, overrated.
The playstyle that made Jame a star just wasn’t working anymore.
But just when it seemed like it was all over, something finally clicked - and Jame led his team of forgotten misfits to do the impossible.

@RUclips User wtf are you talking about? Chrome is one the best browsers out there, its not a big difference between Firefox and Chrome in RAM usage and in latest versions chrome even use less ram

It's crazy that everybody laughed at how jame had a tendency to save weaponry, and now currently it is fairly common to save a 4v5 if the bomb is already planted, or even 5 man save kevlar if the retake is impossible.
Jame was and is smart as fuck, he literally shaped the current economy meta

The meta is changing not so much because Jame popularised it, but because once the Astralis era came hurling in all teams were scrambling to make perfect 5-man set pieces at exact seconds of the round to rain a dozen utility at one spot. They used to always try to do that but not nearly to the effort they do in the past 3 years, and the increasingly successful hard work done to literally read the minds of all the superstar players is huge just so that they can now make effective counters.
It's made the best individual players get completely stomped--it's not that we don't have Kenny, Guardian, Fallen, Cold etc with us, but recent cs meta has made superstars a lot less OP.
Perfecting the teamwork has changed the way rounds are played. I don't like this new thing because it's boring to watch, but it is unfortunately the objectively better way to play a pro league.

I had this theory about Outsiders always being consistent. That gives them good wins and good matches but not a lot of touney wins. I would then extrapolate that into the Rio major where the sheer vibe of the place just sucked the life out of everyone, except for Outsiders because these guys were just grinding with laserfocus like always.
But then I also know that's a bunch of bs and Outsiders abolutely nailed it in Rio, with JAME at the helm
And then they fell right tf off like the bots they are.
Couldn't even qualify for Paris, what a joke of a team.

@MB no he won't. He's not even part of a complete team. Moreover, he fell off just over a month after winning the major. He got slapped on Outsiders' own map pick of Mirage 1-16.

i think when fane said "fuck it, screw my teams leader im going in" was when jame realized he wasnt using any of his teams potential including his own. either that or jame was holding back and being like "these teams will least expect us to come back, lets show them what we've been hiding" cause there is no way a pro team can actually suck for so long then do a 180 GOTCHA that fast. just saying something was planned.

They have been good for so long, but had a few roadblocks and they finally figure it out with fame and y’all are still in denial that he deserves this major. Out of my top 3 people I wanted to see win a major it was karrigan, simple, and jame. All 3 had majors elude them until each of them won and it was beautiful

Everything said about Jame at the start of this video also applied right after the major until now (2.5 years later), and as of yesterday, benched. I don't like to call major wins 'flukes', and Outsiders played sick, I remember a lot of plays from Jame and Cadian that tournament... but this has to be the flukiest major win of them all.

Honestly I watched a lot Avangar/VP till this major. I don't think they changed the way they play. First of all, Jame had a lot of early round aggresive picks in early rounds. I think he stopped to do it because he had rifler that was capable of. Second he said on interview he play the clutches if he has the infos of the enemy. They saved so many maps like this because they save 5000$ at 13-14.
I think the Outsiders victory is more about reaching a peak at the good moment. It's common in CIS team. Plus it's about gaining confident in the way they don't play. It's not because you lose the round that the tactics was bad. It is always about small details.
Who are we to even judge if some one was or was not suppose to win major and shit in the 1st place? Thats the problem people underestimate everything, everyone was so shocked that it didn't went the way THEY thought bruh. If you were so shocked about that then that just means you neglected to even believe that tier 1 teams could lose and not make it out to finals, people need a reality check and need to wake the fuck up and see the other side of possibilties too.

@@frxzzy_ i find heroic to be a very exciting team to watch. I think the crowd is the reason the final wasn't appreciated. We have also been absolutely spoiled with Antwerp, Stockholm, Katowice and cologne finals all being insane.

Dimitri… the 2019 avangar roster was not even close to as good as this outsiders roster. This was back when teams still couldn’t figure out jame and his weird awp style and he was just carrying games alone. Qikert was his only consistently good teammate and he’s still on this current team. The other 3 all played like supports, and they mostly fragged like them too. Sanji had some ok moments but he was only ever really good with smgs, he’s always been pretty bad at every other gun. Adren was already a goddamn corpse by the time he was on avangar so no surprise he was washed, and I don’t think I’ve seen buster have more than 2 kills in any round of csgo ever. That team was not even close to this one, it was pretty crazy that avangar even made that major finals, many ppl had them going out in the quarters. Once ppl saw who their opponent was in the finals we all knew astralis was getting one more for the road. Wasn’t even close 😂
