- It's not for nothing that Bella's route is called a bumpy road, even the achievement on Steam DPC named that for completing her route in Season 2. Their relationship is complicated and has many problems: she is his teacher and the mental age difference. But I wouldn't dig that deep, again this is a "college guy's wet dreams" porn game.

- What surprised me about Jill in Season 2 is that she lost her self-confidence (Season 1 Jill could make decisions, like disperse the bullies, call a teachers council because of bullying, using her status connections with the teachers), but here she doesn't see at all that Tybalt's blackmail is a far-fetched piece of crap, then she needs to be saved from Tybalt and begs Bella for help (save the princess from the tower moment). It's like DPC downgraded the character and all for the sake of the moment where she showed her balls at the end of Ep. 8. And we saw a different Jill - how beautifully she turned Rusty down when he hit on her! She has it from the start and making her so socially awkward is a gap in the writing from DPC for me, he had to shove in this plot line with "blackmailing Tybalt" and pretend that we are dealing with a serious antagonist, although it is clear: The king is naked.
An ordinary Jill would have handled this easily.

- I'll describe Josy and Maya together. Josy is really insecure and simping MC, also doesn't know what she wants. On their route, Josy feels normal when she's happy with MC and Maya and that's really ok if we can make Throuple work. For a player who only plays J/M, it's harder to notice the problems with Josy: she literally stalks Tremolo and vents on him at every opportunity that she has feelings for him. And about the breakup with them at the end of Ep.9, for me, Maya's reaction is much healthier, showing a stronger personality, which I didn't expect from Maya. Plus, Maya is an introvert. She's in pain too, she loves Tremolo, she just doesn't show it so agressive-open style. Plus. she's so hardened by family hell, a tyrant father and a disabled mother that a breakup with a guy is a trifle compared to what she sees every day for years.
But Maya is not a third wheel, she's the main character in Throuple. This is her family history, this is her student loan problem. I understand that people are tired of loan story, but it is what it is. Josy is the trigger that causes this problem to exist, Josy herself doesn't have a story arc like the other LIs and that's a problem. DPC needs to write something for Josy ASAP to make her interesting. Yes, she's a normal girl next door who has a crush on MC...that's all. There are plenty of those in real life and I'd like to see a character arc.

I'll start by saying that Interlude has problems with its narrative structure. DPC should have spent more time showing MC and Zoey past together than her life with California junkies, in order to appeal more to the player's empathy.

Next, they are both young and inexperienced in relationships. MC is secretly in love with her, for Zoey he is a friend+. She didn't leave him and everyone else. She followed her dream, deciding to try, it was her life and she had no incentive to stay with MC, not understanding her feelings and not knowing what he really feels. In addition, she offered him to go with her, which destroys the argument "She dumped our guy" that I often see on the subreddit. In San Diego, she realized what she lost and realized that surfing was just a childhood dream - the emotional growing up of the character.
Running out of money is secondary, she could still find another job, save money by finding cheaper place to live, but the Interlude gives us signs that Zoey decided to return home (to Tremolo) because she realized how much she cares about him. Who is to blame for this situation? I will say both, they were immature and both made mistakes. And both changed while they were not seeing each other. Zoey has grown up, and MC - well, it depends on the player.
Oh yeah:
> Move to California
> You're running out of money
Realism 10/10 :KEK:
About Bella, you are totally right, she is the wet dream of the 99% of the adolescent and young adult males. If you haven't fantasized with at least one of your teachers, I'm afraid you got homeschooled

As I said in my first post, the game has plotholes and Tybalt's blackmail is one of them. With one call to her family lawyer, Jill could resolve it... But at least at the end Jill kicked Tybalt's balls

In the Josy/Maya path... I disagree, Josy is the funny adventurous girl and Maya basically adds the family drama. After the breakup the Josy's reaction is more "realistic" and she shows she was trying and Maya (with all the shit she has because her family I can understand her) reacts like "well, a failed experiment, let's move on" When the whole parental drama ends, i think we will have the answer about who is who in the relationship

Zoey's history is another big plothole since the begininng. Running away to be a surfer it's a real weak start and the whole romantic comedy plot is too typical to be interesting, but, hey, we are not the writers of this history

Think about this: Tremolo receiving music classes and martial arts classes since his childhood... It can be really good or really bad
Why would his rich maternal grandparents give him martial arts classes while raising him? Not saying they couldn't, but Neil is the reason MC ever learned how to fight. As for music lessons, it'd probably be something more "classy" like piano, similar to Jill.

And that's mainly because the MC was bullied in school. If he had been raised by rich grand parents, chances are he'd have gone to a private Ivy League school and bullying most likely would not have been an issue. And in turn, not require any self defense classes.

In such a situation I'd see a cooler version of Rusty in the MC. Without the need to brag who he is. His massive dick would be all the word of mouth required to set his rich reputation.

But you're assuming he'd still be a humble, down to earth kinda guy. Like at the very least he'd be akin to flashback Rusty, who was super entitled. That's why I said he'd be like Tibalt, a douchebag who thinks he's above everyone else.

Tremolo (with the musical talent he has, said by Jill) would be a good musician and at the start of the game he probably was acquainted with Jill, Sage, Tybalt and Rusty... So, it can be a whole different game

If he had rich parents, then maybe I'd have thought of that, but eliminating Neil from the picture and left with only grand parents, they tend to pamper and spoil them and be overprotective. So I'd see a more emotional version of Rusty. Rich parents tend to be more bossy in principle. And expect more of a servant with an allowance. Grand parents would probably have sent him to work for a couple summers instead of buying him a fancy car.

So I would expect that particular MC to have some amount of humility.

Shit man, he probably wouldn't even be "Tremolo" anymore.

Ehhh.... maybe. It's hard to say when we barely know anything about his grandparents. His grandpa is a dick, that's basically it.

I think he would be much better than Tybalt (he has some serious mental problems) and probably a less rebel version of Rusty.... Even I can see Jill and Tremolo being a couple in the beginning (similar to Chad/sage in the worst case)

I think the whole grandparents history will explode in the season 3 ending or in the beginning of season 4 and it will be the main plot of the whole season

I hope not. For one, I don't really care about MC being a secret Burgmeister or whatever. Even MC himself doesn't really care about who his grandparents are, outside of how Lynette feels about them in her diary.
What could you even do with that as the "main plot"? Legal dispute over inheritance? Some sort of fight over the DIK presidency? Tybalt is the antagonist again, because this loser suddenly becomes royalty overnight? Nah man, fuck all that.

Tomorrow will a busy day for me to write the last long post... so here we go:

As I said before, I can understand there are players who like Quinn. (If you prefer the toxic bad girl type, I agree with them) but, let's check some of Quinn's traits:

Pathological liar: CHECK
Resentful: CHECK
Vindictive: CHECK
Bully: CHECK
Whore: CHECK
Pimp: CHECK
Drug addict: CHECK
Drug seller: CHECK
Hypocrite: CHECK
Backstabber: CHECK
Manipulative: CHECK

I am pretty sure I have forgotten some adjectives, but I think 11 is enough (You are welcome to add more :devilish:) So, yes, I hate Quinn because she represents many of the things I abhor in people

Bonus track: Zoey
I have tried to give a chance to Zoey (she is Tremolo's first love), but I can't bear with her... Firstly, wasting the WHOLE interlude in her didn't help, but it wasn't the worst. Because her grandmother dies, she decided to leave everyone and everything to become a surfer, and even when Tremolo tried to go with her she rejected him, breaking him until Josy. Then, when the money started to run out and she miserably failed as a surfer, she decided to return after having a "There's no place like home" moment, thinking Tremolo was going to be waiting for her... And after chapter 10, she finally realized she felt something for him... When Tremolo is surrounded by more interesting and attractive girls and he finally has forgotten her in a romantically way (or at least he said so several times in chapter 9).

Pathological liar: a pathological liar wouldn't have told Fuckface all the things she told him during their downtown date in Ep. 10
Resentful: literally me
Vindictive: literally me
Bully: boo-hoo, big deal
Whore: that's hot
Pimp: arguably, even hotter
Drug addict: nobody's perfect
Drug seller: meh, junkies want that shit, might as well make some profit at their expence
Hypocrite: that's Maya
Backstabber: can't backstab someone you've never been loyal to in the first place, pal
Manipulative: one of the most important skills for managers of all levels, ain't nothin' wrong with that

Dixi. :cautious:

I'm only half-joking :Kappa:

Indeed.

I'm also of the mindset that this is intentional.
And will probably be delivered as a (not so big) "big reveal". And many will welcome it, and others will be annoyed by it. Personally if that happens, I don't know how I'll react. I'm sure DPC's renders will convey a decent amount of emotional torment, but I don't have much faith in his ability to properly write through it though.

*edit*
Hell, he will probably throw us another Milf as a side girl, taking away proper reflection on his story progression. "Oh look gran dad has plenty of sexy maids to fuck.. must have them....."

The execution of it, could go either way tbh. But as to the actual identity of his family, I could see DPC being an asshole and subverting the most common theory: MC = Burgmeister.

Can't be a Royce, that means incest. To not even run the risk of Patreon's wrath, won't be a Burke. Someone once suggested that maybe he's one of the W's in W&W, the rival college. And then... that's it. There aren't any other families of note that he could be tied to.

Maybe he's Steve's cousin :KEK:
