Roserade is very under-rated these days, but in Generation 4, Roserade was a VERY common sight... yet nobody complained.
You see, Sinnoh is quite lacking on the Grass Types.
If you didn't choose Turtwig as your Starter, you were basically forced into using Roserade.
The reason nobody complained? Roserade is actually quite good, as well as an Item virtually forgotten about these days: The Big Root.
The Big Root increases the amount of HP restored from HP-draining moves such as Absorb, Mega Drain and Giga Drain from 50% of damage dealt to 75% of damage dealt.
Combined with Roserade's rather stout Special Attack, this made Roserade quite formidable.
Don't forget the Big Root anymore. Give it to Pokemon like Sawsbuck (Horn Leech), Hariyama (Drain Punch)*, Heliolisk (Parabolic Charge) and even Yveltal (Oblivion Wing) and Gardevoir (Draining Kiss).
* -- Yeah, it seems silly to put a Big Root on the big ol' Sumo Wrestler, but with a HP Base Stat of 144 (Max HP under normal circumstances: 492!) and a Physical Attack Base Stat of 120, you'll get a TON of mileage out of giving the Big Root to a Hariyama with Drain Punch (TM073 in Generation 9).
