After coming back to the surface in the wake of the homeric confrontation pitting Godzilla and Kong against the Skar King and the now-free Shimo, Dr Ilene Andrews is notified about the discovery of a strange salamander near the ruins of the outpost Skar King destroyed in the Hollow Earth.

Considering how little they know of the creature, the Monarch team wonders how they will get proper data about its feeding habits until Andrews states she volunteers to be part of an upcoming experiment, much to everyone’s surprise.

Changing into a tight suit, the woman goes to where the creature is contained and offers herself to it. A couple scientists start recording at Ilene’s demand as the amphibious creature grabs her and begins consuming her feet first.
